Heart

by Kristy Tayloe DiGiacomo on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:16pm ·

Finally, I have news for a Joj update! His ear tubes were a success. They were put in at Children's hospital this past Thurs. Sept. 10. Since those are now done, we were able to schedule his heart surgery. It will be Wed. Oct. 21 at 8 am. Thank-you to everyone for all your love and support. I know it seems like this will never end (at least it does to us) but hopefully the next update I send will simply be saying everything went splendidly.
So besides the pending surgery, Joseph is doing spectacular. He is soo close to walking! Everyday he takes more and more steps. He is still a little peanut, but that certainly does not stop him! He is constantly in motion and now loves chasing the cats and Zoey (grandma's dog). His absolute favorite things are BALLS, trucks and cars, rocks, anything with animals and Yo Gabba Gabba (although Uncle Chad claims this is because I like the show so much, which I do, but Joj is enthralled with it) and did I mention balls? Joseph can say "hi" extremely well and will say it to anyone walking into the room. He can say that a cow says "moo" and that a cat says something sort of like meow, and a dog says (well he just blows but close enough). Oh and of course he can say "ball," and he's almost mastered bubbles although sometimes it comes out bubs. He is truly a happy baby and has us laughing with him all the time.
I still haven't decided what to have Joj dress up as for Halloween, but I'm leaning towards Frankenstein (the outfit is adorable), a monkey, or a lion. I will take input on this matter!
Well, hope this is a good Joj fill for ya, and again we appreciate all your prayers headed Joj's way on Oct 21.
Love,
Kristy and Jim and Jojermojer

Watching a very...disturbing? South Park. I decided to take work off until Joj's surgery to avoid any sicknesses so nothing gets rescheduled. We're getting pretty nervous but staying positive. Unfortunately, we found out that only immediate family can visit Joj in the hospital but I guess that will encourage people to come visit us at home when we may need more suport.

Things are finally getting back to normal! Joseph's surgery went very well and just 8 days after it, he was helping with the trick-or-treaters. It's amazing how quickly kids bounce back. He has been so super cute!
